Wes is the player character and main protagonist of Pokémon Colosseum. He is a former member of Team Snagem.
Wes is first shown infiltrating the Snagem Hideout, his former hideout, for unknown reasons. He steals a Snag Machine and runs off, with Gonzap and members of Team Snagem in hot pursuit. He destroys the base in a catastrophic explosion and rides off.
He comes across the Outskirt Stand where he sees two men carrying a sack, riding off in their car. He then battles a trainer named Willie, who afterwards points him to Phenac City. He then battles one of the two men, Folly, and saves Rui, who was inside the sack. She claims to have seen instances of "Pokémon surrounded by black auras," which only she can see, and asks Wes for help. It is later revealed to her after battling Wakin of Team Snagem that he was once a member of the villainous team. Eventually they learn about Cipher and battle together to snag the Shadow Pokémon from their evil clutches.
However, shortly after defeating Cipher and snagging/saving most of the Shadow Pokémon, there are reports that "Wes" started attacking people with a Shadow Togetic. Wes, with the help of News reports and Kids Grid, manages to track down the impostor to Outskirt Stand, where he is in the middle of attacking one of the people nearby. He then battles and defeats the impostor and snags his doppelgänger's Shadow Togetic. Afterwards, the impostor is revealed to be an ex-Cipher Peon named Fein who had wanted revenge on Wes for shutting down Cipher, and declares his success in ruining Wes's reputation. However, Orre forgives Wes after realizing their mistake.
His whereabouts after the events of Pokémon Colosseum are unknown. His and Rui's heroic acts in bringing the first Shadow incident to an end are remembered by people in Orre in Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness, though their names are not mentioned to Michael.
