Head back to the Ruins of Alph. You've most likely already solved the first puzzle, but to solve the others, you need certain moves, items, or Pokémon. Go to the very bottom and Surf down. At the very bottom you'll find the chamber with the second puzzle, depicting an Aerodactyl. At the back is a panel that simply reads "Light." Use Flash here and it'll open up. In the next room you'll find a Gold Berry, a Moon Stone, an Energy Root, and a Heal Powder. Drop down the hole and you'll see the Unown spell out the message that reads: "Thus we shall erect a Pokémon statue outside." Now you can find the next group of Unown.
To get to the other two chambers, you'll have to go through Union Cave. Head there now from Route 32 or Route 33 by Azalea Town.

On Fridays, you can Surf across this pond and battle and capture a Lapras.
Go back up and past the two PokéManiacs. Go straight up from there and take the nearby stairs down. In the top left corner is TM39 (Swift). At the bottom right is an X Defend. Surf up and to the right. Here you'll battle a Hiker.

Here is some grass—the only place to find wild Natu and Smeargle. Head inside the other cavern. If you have Ho-Oh at the front of your party, the stairs on the back will be revealed, because that was what the puzzle said: "Ho-Oh." Do the puzzle, which depicts a Ho-Oh.
Inside it you'll find a Gold Berry, a MysteryBerry, a Charcoal, and a Revival Herb. The puzzle reads, "We humans must learn to walk in harmony with them. We depart for their sakes." After doing this and the puzzle, you'll unlock the next set of Unown.
Go back all the way to Union Cave and back by the two Hikers. This time, take the bottom exit. You'll have to move a boulder with Strength to do it, though. Exit and hop down the ledge and go into the other cavern. Inside is the other puzzle, which depicts Omanyte. The puzzle at the back wants you to have a Water Stone in your inventory. If you do, it'll open. The items inside are a Stardust, a Star Piece, a MysteryBerry, and a Mystic Water. The text inside reads, "They possess great insight and refuse the outside world." After this, you'll have unlocked all the Unown. Head now to Mt. Mortar on Route 42.

There are three entrances: by Violet City, by Blackthorn City, or on Route 45.
Turn right and surf south across the lake. Grab the Revive on the southeast platform, and go west along the water's edge to find TM13 (Snore). Surf north and go west along the platform. Turn to reach the northwest corner; the man here will give you the BlackGlasses, an item that enhances Dark-type moves. Head south and jump the two ledges to reach the opening to the Violet City side.
Surf to the west and jump the ledge to get a Potion if you didn't already. Go south and use Rock Smash to proceed eastward. Smash another rock and loop around the northeast corner to find a Hyper Potion. Jump the ledge and head south to find a Full Heal and a Dire Hit. Continue south to reach the Route 46 exit.

Go all the way around and push the boulder. Go down and Surf to the stairs. Surf down and to the left and up. The man on the platform will give you the King's Rock, which can evolve either Slowpoke or Poliwhirl into Slowbro or Politoed, respectively, by trading it while holding it.
Go to the right and grab the TM18 (Rain Dance).
S.S. Aqua
If it's either Monday or Friday, you can head to the S.S. Aqua for some more battling. You will be heading from Olivine to Vermilion in Kanto. Likewise, if you're in Kanto on Wednesday or Sunday, you will be heading from Vermilion back to Olivine.
